Postcards from China

Since I was 14, and picked up my first disposable film camera - I’ve been taking a film camera with me on my travels. 6 different film cameras later, I’ve found that there is something truly special about capturing my travel adventures on 35mm. It can get really overwhelming when I’m travelling to feel the need to capture every moment, cool building or fun person I meet. Then follow this up by making content like tiktoks, reels or youtube videos. Of course, to me making content is fun, but I also find it overwhelming at times! Therefore, shooting on film allows me to feel more relaxed about documenting my travels, I simply just snap the photo, hope it turns out okay, and then eagerly await for them to be developed and scanned when I return home. Here are all my film photos from my recent month in China & Hong Kong. My dad grew up in Hong Kong, and my grandparents still live there as well as my aunty and uncle, so visiting HK is always a really lovely time. However, this was my first time in China and my mind was blown, it is such a big and beautiful country with a lot of stunning scenery. I highly, highly recommend travelling to China!
